Who is running this survey
The survey is organised by Ystradowen Community Sport Association. The data controller is Rod Howells, who can be contacted at rod@rodhowells.com.
What we collect
- Your answers to the survey questions. You do not need to give your name or email to take part.
- If you ask to be kept informed (Question 13): your name, email address and, if you choose, telephone number.
- The date and time your response was submitted.
Why we collect it and how it is used
Survey answers are used to understand residents' views and identify village priorities for community funding linked to the Maple Walk development. Results will be shared with the village in summary form and discussed at a public meeting in Ystradowen Village Hall. The results and the village’s agreed priorities will also be shared with Penllyn Community Council and the Vale of Glamorgan Council. Individual comments may be quoted without identifying anyone.
Contact details are used only to tell you about the survey results, the public meeting and next steps. They are stored separately from your survey answers and will not be added to any other mailing list or shared with third parties.
Who can see your information
Only authorised survey administrators can view responses, through a password-protected area. Other respondents cannot see your answers. Penllyn Community Council and the Vale of Glamorgan Council will receive the summary results and the village’s agreed priorities; they will not be given your name or contact details.
How long we keep it
Your information will be kept for 2 years from the date the survey closes. After this time, contact details will be deleted and survey answers will be deleted or kept only in anonymised form.
Security
Information is sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and stored securely. The site has no advertising and does not use tracking or non-essential cookies.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent to be contacted at any time, by contacting the organiser above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
